Playfirst’s Dash empire has expanded yet again, this time with a sequel to Wedding Dash.
In Wedding Dash 2: Rings Around the World, Quinn returns to her wedding planner duties, with the help of photographer Joe Wright and sometimes Flo. In this sequel, several wedding planners have entered a contest to see who’s the best at what they do, but things start going suspiciously wrong to some contestants, from broken ankles to musical sabotage. It’s up to you and Quinn to make those wedding celebrations work out.
Managing a wedding is not an easy task, especially when you have some vague clues from the bride and groom as far as their preferences. To start the planning, they will leave you a note telling them a little about themselves and what they would like (or not) to see at the party. Read carefully and find out the clues in order to pick the right items. For example, if they like nature, green table covers and flower arrangements are a hit. Do they want a non-traditional way to arrive to the party? Arrange for a helicopter. Are they fans of finger food? Little hors-d’oeuvres are the solution. For every item you pick correctly, you get $100 that go towards the total of that level.
Regular and expert goals are stated at the beginning of each level, and if there are upgrades, they will be presented to you as well. You can pick one of the tree, be it an extra plate on the buffet table, faster staff (Quinn, waitress, cook or photographer), better chairs, more champagne to keep the guests in line happy or a confetti blower upgrade to keep the people at the tables happy.
The seating strategy is similar to the one in Diner Dash, but this time around there are no color bonuses to help you with the score. Instead, you must pay attention to the thought bubbles above the guests’ heads to see where and how they want to be seated. For example, twins have to sit together as do mom and daughters. No one really wants to sit near the aunt that gossips a lot, everyonee wants to sit near that celebrity cousin or good-looking guy, the drunken guest annoys people around him, the girls usually don’t want to sit near the old men, and a lot of people will also have preference for a certain table. You need to juggle guests and seats, managing them the best way possible in order to accomplish enough chains to meet your goal.
You can make chains out of serving any dish (as long as it’s the same one in a row), delivering presents to the bride and groom, serving drinks, taking music requests to the band and taking photos. If all this already sounds complicated – and trust me, the levels become chaotic – there’s even more to worry about. Quinn is the disaster prevention brigade, which means if something goes wrong, you must click it as soon as possible so she can take care of it. For example, the blues guitar player will try to seduce the waitress with his music, the rock guitar player will have some rockin’ bursts that annoy the guests, pidgeons will attack the food, guests will occasionally choke, the little girls will cry, a random boy will appear with firecrackers to ruin the party, the drunken guest will start making noise… You really have your hands full with trying to keep everyone happy. If the guests aren’t happy, the bride and groom will start fuming, and they even sound like a kettle going!
Taking you through a series of exotic locales, from Niagara Falls to tropical rainforests, arid deserts and even the famous Ice Hotel, Wedding Dash 2 has enough elements to keep you on your toes. It’s not an easy trip for Quinn and her team, and you will get frustrated with some of the levels, but there is enough here to keep you entertained for quite a while, especially if you are a fan of the Diner Dash series.
