FROM PORT SEARIS TO PERIT VILLAGE
You start at the inn. Go downstairs and talk to the innkeeper. Go to the town square and inspect the umbrella, Lucia will appear. Go to Gad’s Express and get your first job.
Go to Thieves Woods, switch to Virtue Mode and head NW. Your package will be stolen. Kill everything in the first area to open the first blue chest: Clogs for Jian. Go back to town, heal and come back to Thieves Woods. This time head NE. Kill all the monsters to open the blue chest: Wonder Umbrella for Lucia. Head NW to Perit Village.
Heal at the fountain and then go to Moses’ House. Talk to Moses. Now go to Enos? House and talk to everyone. Go back into Thieves Woods and go SE then NW. You will reach an area with two people, a statue of Althena, a broken bridge and a pile of rocks. Talk to the two guys and head back to Perit Village. Talk to everyone in Enos’ House again. Head back to the two guys by the bridge. Heal at the statue and exit the area NW. In this area, kill all monsters to open a blue
chest containing a Lucky Bandana. Head NW again.
Heal at the Althena statue and go up the stairs. Inspect the statues with the gems and remember the order: Red, White, Black and Blue. Inside the temple go SE. In the next area, kill all the monsters to open the blue chest containing a Mental Bandana. Walk around the area and locate the four doors. You need to enter them in the right order to activate the portal: Red, White, Black and Blue. NW of the blue statue there is a passage to a room with a statue of Althena and a chest with a Magic Ring. Leave this room and leave the are by going SW and then East. Enter the portal.
If you go NW, you find a tombstone that you can interact with to get a Bone Sword. Next, you need to find and kill all four Sasquatch. They have about 250 HP, and you should be about level 8 before you fight them. The poison card works great on them. Once you’ve killed all four, you can go back to the area with the four doors. There is another door without a colored gem with a pedestal inside (it was empty before) that will have your package.
Leave the Temple and go back to Perit Village.
Take the package to Gad’s Express to get your reward and find new jobs. Talk to Enos to find out the bridge has been repaired. Go back to Thieves Woods, to the area with the stature of Althena and the bridge. Go across the bridge and exit West.
In this area there is a blue chest with a Strong Umbrella for Lucia. Keep heading West to reach Healriz.
FROM HEALRIZ TO ROLAND CAVE AND BACK
Healriz is divided into two areas. The first is mostly residential, the second hosts the shops, Gad’s Express and Sun Coliseum. Head to the Coliseum and talk to the person behind the counter. You can’t get in unless you get a ticket. Go to Balbo’s house and talk to a girl on the second floor. Talk to Juliet in her house, then go to Leoncavallo’s house and talk to everyone there.
Now head to the Inn and talk to Aaron, who tells you to talk to Leoncavallo’s girlfriend. You need to bring him some honey, so step out of Virtue Mode and go to SW to Roland’s Forest. Insectors carry the honey, so fight things until you get at least one. Go back to Healriz and talk to Leoncavallo. He will recognize you as a fighter and let you in the Coliseum if you kill the Armored Boar in Roland Cave.
This would be a good time to purchase new equipment and weapons. Remember to heal before you head out. Head NW in Roland Forest to reach the cave, but make sure you find the chest containing an Alert Ring. Make sure you level up to around 15 to be safe.
Inside the cave, clear all monsters while in Virtue Mode. The blue chest is in the SW corner and has a Protection Ring inside. The Armored Boar is in the far NW corner. It has around 575 HP and its attacks can cause confusion.
Once you’ve killed it, go back through Roland Forest and into Healriz. Talk to Leoncavallo again and he will give you the tickets. Go to the Coliseum, save your game and talk to the person behind the counter. She will let you in. Inside, you will be stuck in a three-fight arena combat without Lucia.
The first boss is Raft, he has about 480 HP. The second is Sharif, with about 450 HP. The third is Moran, with a little over 600 HP. Use the Shreeker Card to poison, then Insector for ATK UP. Attack and heal as necessary, killing them as quick as possible since they can break your equipment.
When the fight is over, you gain a new party member, Gabryel. Before you leave Healriz, check for a delivery package to Port Searis.
FROM PORT SEARIS TO CATHEDRAL OF ALTHENA
In Port Searis remember to heal up. Head to the dock and talk to the ferry man. You will be transported across to Port Obleage. If you see the jobs “From Roland Forest”, “To Decorate My Room” and “A Craving For Pottery” in Gad’s Express, accept them. You can complete them just by purchasing items and the reward is pretty good.
Buy the best equipment available and talk to Carducci in his house. Talk to the Guards at the Checkpoint and then go back to Carducci’s house. Gabi will help with the Guard situation and you will be able to go to the Cathedral.
In the Cathedral, make sure you save after each fight and kill everything as fast as possible, since monsters here can break your equipment. Once inside, there are some classrooms along the hallway with chests in them, one has an Amethyst and the other has Aura. Head straight along the hallway until you see a large statue of Althena. Inspect it.
To each side of the statue, there will be passages to other rooms. There are two mini-bosses on each side, you need to go down the stairs in each room to find the second mini-boss. Each of them has one of the four gems you need to place on the statue. They?re called Deuce and they have about 1000 HP. Make sure you are around level 16 before you engage them and buy a bunch of Healing Gums or Healing Drops. They sleep and confuse, so keep Lucia curing as needed. Use her Defense Up spell at the beginning, and throw in a Shreeker and Insector card.
Once you have killed all four Deuce, place the gems on the statue and go up the stairs behind it and through the door. Gronk also has about 1000 HP but he heals and petrifies. Have Lucia equip that Amethyst you found so she resists petrify and is able to cure the others. Use the first round for a Defense Up, Shreeker and Insector. If you have an Enigma card, use it to lower Gronk’s intelligence, since it causes the spells to have a lesser effect, meaning he will heal for less.
After this fight, heal Jian and recover his MP fully. Head towards the door. Jian will then fight Beast King Zethos by himself. He has about 800 HP, doesn’t attack on the first turn, attacks on the second turn and on the third turn he gives you back your three-hit attack. Use any cards to help you out, but start with Shreeker to poison him, as it does quite a bit of damage. Use Namia to recover HP, Insector for ATK UP and Asmodee to blind him. Use healing items as needed, and don’t let Jian’s HP go too low. You HAVE to win this fight.
When the fight is over, go back to the castle, talk to King Zethos and Ezekiel. Exit the castle and go find Gabi at the town square near the fountain. Do some jobs to earn money for future equipment, it’s going to get expensive soon.
