Case 3: Shock Rock
Use the PDA to go to the Hot Rod Casino Auditorium. Talk to Todd Hinkley. Ask what he saw, if he was there when it happened, about the rehearsal, the woman on stage, rivalry and relation to the victims.
Inspect the video camera to the right for a TP. Inspect the stage and zoom in on the band. Use the camera to take a photo. Inspect the guitarist on the left. Inspect the girl. Inspect the vocal effects pedal, use the gloves on it. Use fingerprint brush & powder and adhesive lifting tape on it to get a fingerprint from the side. Turn it to find a loose screw. Pick it up with the tweezers. Click on the microphone, pick it up with the gloves. Use fingerprint brush & powder and adhesive lifting tape on it to get Andrea’s fingerprint.
Look at the electric guitar and boots near the right speaker for another TP. Look at the the logo on the drums set for another TP. Look at the bass guitar and red boots near the left speaker for a TP. Click on the space behind the microphone to the left of the speaker to find a bug.
Click on the space that leads backstage. Click on the floor and use the flashlight to find a bottle of Tequila. Use the gloves to take the bottle. Use ninhydrin to get a fingerprint from the label on the bottle. Rotate the bottle to find another print on the neck. Use the fingerprint brush & powder and adhesive lifting tape to get another fingerprint. Spin the bottle to look at the cap. Use the magnetic brush & powder and adhesive lifting tape to get a third fingerprint.
Look at the floor a bit to the right of where the bottle was to find a straw. Use the flashlight to see it and pick it up with the gloves. Use the LCV on it and then swab it. Inspect the electrical socket that’s sparkling. Use the flashlight and pick up the power cord with the gloves.
Talk to Todd again. As if he ask footage of the incident, why isn’t anyone wearing shoes and if he recognizes the straw. Mention the power cord. Use the PDA to go to the Luxury Suite. Talk to Kathy about Andrea and who else is staying there.
Go to the Morgue and talk to Dr. Robbins. Ask if he can recover the bodies. Ask about the cause of death, what he found on Andrea, and to see Ray Brown. Look at his feet and ask Dr. Robbins about Boogie Feet. Ask to see Marty Party. Look at the footcream on the side table for a TP. Ask Dr. Robbins about Marty and ask to look at Steve Olacheck. Look at the round marks on his chest and ask Dr. Robbins if he found anything interesting on Steve.
Go to the Lab. Use the Assembly Table to work on the voice pedal. Remove the cover by clicking and draging it away. Click and drag the button on the upper right to obtain a polarity switch. Examine it and swab it to get some residue.
On the Trace Analysis Computer, compare the fingerprint from the bottle label with Civil Record Search Result C. It belongs to Boogie Feet. Now compare the fingerprint from the bottle cap with Civil Record Search Result D, and drag it to the upper right quadrant. It belongs to Steven Olacheck. Compare the fingerprint from the bottle neck with Civil Record Search Result E. It belongs to Marty Party. Compare Andrea’s fingerprints with the fingerprint on the microphone. Drag it to the upper left quadrant.
Still in Trace Analysis, go to Video/Image Enhance and analyze the videotape from the camera at the crime scene. Play the tape and then use Frame + seven times, to when Boogie Feet steps on the pedal and they get elecrocuted. Enhance. Analyze the residue from the polarity switch on the Chemical Analyzer.
Go to the Luxury Suite. Click on the piano to play a tune. Talk to Kathy about someone wanting to hurt Andrea or the band and ask to look around. Inpect the bust left of the piano for a TP. Turn left and zoom in on the two chairs below the painting. Click on the end table between them for another TP. Click on the hallway area (where the light is on) and zoom in on the note on the table. Pick it up with the gloves.
Go into the den. Inspect the laptop on the coffee table. Use the USB drive to obtain a deleted email from Todd. Go upstairs. Inspect the plant for a TP. Turn left and pick up the bug from the table. Turn right and go into the bedroom. Turn left and click on the waste basket. Use the gloves to pick up the photos. Turn right and use the gloves to take Andrea’s shirt. Turn it around and use the adhesive mount to get some residue. Inspect the bag on the end table for a TP. Go back downstairs and talk to Kathy again about the threatening note and Jill Wilde.
Use the PDA to go to the Casino High Rollers’ Room. Talk to Jill about asking her questions, the note to Andrea, the band having enemies and Ray sleeping with Andrea. Turn right and inspect the first golden pole to get a bug.
Go back to the Lab. Under the microscope, compare the threatening note with Jill’s autograph and confirm the match. In Trace Analysis, use Special Search to analyze the deleted email. In the check out the residue from Andrea’s shirt in Chemical Analysis.
Go to Brass’ Office and ask for a questioning warrant for Todd. In the interrogation room, ask Todd about having a fling with Andrea, changes, Eddie Tillis, the vocal pedal and his skills.
Go back to the Casino High Rollers’ Room and talk to Jill again about Eddie Tillis. Use the gloves to take the coffee cup. Use a swab on the lipstick stain on the cup. Go back to the Lab. Use the DNA Database to compare the blood from the straw with Jill’s DNA.
Go to Brass’ Office and ask for a questioning warrant for Jill. In the interrogation room, ask her if she was ever at the crime scene, not wanting anything to do with the band, the note to Andrea. Note there’s something on her dress to get some residue. Go to the Lab, use the Chemical Analyzer to check out the residue from Jill’s dress. Go back to the interrogation room and talk to her again about the coke straw, Todd on the Jet, Ray and the substance on her shirt.
Go to the Recording Studio and talk to Eddie. Ask if the band had enemies, Andrea, Todd, fighting over song rights, being fired, and if you can look around. Look at the demo CDs on the soundboard. Look at the computer screen for a TP. Click on the CD shelf behind Eddie for another TP. Turn right and look at the memo. Talk to Eddie again, ask if the contest was fixed, Kathy’s vocals, not accusing him.
Examine the CD you get. use the fingerprint powder & brush and adhesive lifting tape to get a print from it. Go to the Lab. In the Trace Analysis Computer compare the print from the pedal with Eddie’s fingerprint. In the Audio menu play the demo CD.
Go to Brass’ Office and get a search warrant for Eddie’s studio. Go to the Recording Studio. Turn right and pick up the audio tape (near the memo) with the gloves. Go into the back room. Use the USB drive on the laptop. Look in the desk drawer and use the gloves to take the letter. Inspect the sound equipment for a TP. Turn left, inspect the other pieces of equipment for another TP. Leave this room, turn left and enter the recording room behind Warrick.
Inspect the electric piano and touch the green button to play. Click on the door to the left to get a TP. Zoom in on the end table between the door and the piano to find a bug. Turn right and zoom in on the amp near the guitars for another TP. Use the tweezers ti pick up a prong from next to the Tequila bottle. Turn right again and inspect the acoustic guitar for another TP. Talk to Eddie about the metal prong.
Go to the Lab. Compare the power chord with the ground prong under the microscope. Use Trace Analysis Special Search to look at the file from Eddie’s laptop. Use the Audio menu to listen to the tape.
Go to Brass’ Office and get a questioning warrant for Eddie. In the interrogation room ask Eddie about the fingerprints on the pedal, who has access to the studio, if you can look around the jet and who trashed his set.
Go to the Private Jet. Turn around, enter the cockpit and pick up the bug. Enter the area where Warrick is. Use the gloves on the fire extinguisher to pick it up. Click on the TV to the right for a TP. Click on the curtain to go to the next area. Turn right and inspect the bench. Use the adhesive mount to collect residue. Look at the nightstand just next to the bench for a TP. Look at the floor near the nightstand to find a screw. Use the tweezers to pick it up. Turn left and open the first cupboard door on the left. Use the gloves to get the hidden camera. Examine it to get the video tape. Click the curtain to go to the next area. Click on the chair for a TP. Exit the jet (press B several times until you’re outside) and turn left. Inspect the work benches for a TP.
Go to the Lab. Compare the screw from the jet with the screw from the pedal under the microscope. Look at the residue from the jet and fire extinguisher in the Chemical Analyzer. In the Trace Analysis Computer, use the Video/Image Enhance to play the tape from the hidden camera. Click Frame + seven times and enhance.
Go to the interrogation room and talk to the sound technician. Ask him about being picked on, getting in front of the camera, the video, video enhancement, killing Andrea and Jill Wilde.
Go to the Private Jet. Zoom in on the TV and open the drawer below the drinks. Use the gloves to take the audio tape. Return to the Lab. Use Trace Analysis Audio to play the tape. Compare it with the CD.
Go to Brass’ Office and get an arrest warrant for Kathy. In the interrogation room, tell her Todd confessed.
