Profession: Fisherman

Fisherman Profession

The Fisherman catches sea and river fishes, and prepares them for cooking.

To become a Fisherman, talk to Bahn Laka located at (9,0) next to the house-boat. He will ask to to bring some baits from Aga Dou within 5 minutes and give you the List of Baits for Bahn Laka. Aga Dou is located at (1,1). Show him the list of charms, and continue discussion. Receive Agadou’s Baits. Take them back to Bahn Laka and learn the job of Fisherman.

The best way to get around the time limit is to buy a recall potion from Ralgout at (-1,9) and then save your position at the harbour zaap located at (7,-4). Accept the quest, run to Aga Dou, use the recall potion to teleport to the zaap, and finally run to Bahn and finish the quest.

Your tool of the trade is, of course, your Fishing Rod, which you have to buy from Bhan. As you level up, you will be able to use better fishing rods with a higher range, which allows you to fish further off the shore.

The Fisherman’s workbenches are located at (9,0) inside the house-boat and inside the house at (14,26). A good way to raise your skill quick is to fish from the Dink Pool, located at (15,25). Although the fish is useless, the probability of catching it is a lot higher.

Should you choose to become a Fisherman, the Fishmonger should be your second job, so you can make use of the fish you catch.

You can recognize fishing spots instantly by looking at the bodies of water. If there are dark shapes in them, you know you can cast your line. Keep in mind that you can catch lower size fish from a certain fishing spot (ie: you can catch a small fish from a big fish spot).
