SIM DEATH

Death has finally arrived to the Sims Online community. But it’s not your sad and horrible death, it’s a fun simmish sort-of-dying which allows you to come back to life again later, when you get tired of the other side… or when you find someone with the right skills to perform the appropriate ritual.

CROSSING OVER

There are many creative ways to die, so choose one and start planning your death today!

Drowning: a Sim who goes swimming with no energy left is bound to never get out of the pool. Alive, that is.

Electrocution: Low Mechanical skills and a frustrated attempt at fixing a broken appliance may result in frying your brain.

Hunger: Dying of hunger is not just an expression anymore.

Exhaustion: Try building a wall around your sim in a 1×1 square to see what happens. No food and no toilet make your Sim a dull boy!

Explosion: If you want to try a suicide at the Robot Factory, wait until a robot starts self-destruction and stand right near it.

INTERACTIONS AS A GHOST

As a ghost, you won’t be able to interact with objects or other Sims in the usual way. They can interact with other ghosts in the usual way Sims interact with other sims. However, there are a few interactions which are exclusive to undead Sims.

Headless Haunt and Examine Cause of Death are the two self-interactions available to sim ghosts. Spook and Possess are the interactions available with living sims, provided they accept your intentions.

RETURNING TO THE WORLD OF THE LIVING

Death doesn’t last an eternity in the world of The Sims Online. After 24 sim hours, your sim will be given the option of returning to the world of the living. You can accept or decline this offer, and stay “dead” for another 24 sim hours. Basically, you can be a ghost for as long as you’d like.

If you want to be resurrected right away, you will have to find someone to help you out. You will need a Sim with a skill of at least 8 in both Cooking and Charisma, and this Sim has to be in an extremely good mood to perform your reviving ritual. The ceremony requires a bit of space (3×3 area) and when it’s over, your Sim will be living and breathing again (so to speak), probably with the answers to the meaning of life.
